It had a been a long while since I had dined at the Cahill Diner but my last trip had been a very pleasing one, so following my return I had decided to write a review for one of my favorite local restaurants. Just as I expected from my last encounter, the service was great. My waitress had knowledge of their menu, made good recommendations, and was overall pleasant to have as a server. The diner overall gives a positive feeling and the family-owned traits definitely stood out. I had ordered their "Wolfman Omelette," an omelette containing ham, sausage, and bacon. I was very pleased with the meal as it was not only accompanied with a tall glass of freshly squeezed orange juice, but a pleasant ambience. Back to the dish anyway, it was and continues to be one of the best omelettes I have ever eaten outside my own home. Naturally though from previous encounters I have sampled the menu from sausage, to eggs, to sandwiches, and to say the least I have always left pleased. Keep it up Cahill Diner!

Wed. Late morning, seated right away. Fast and friendly service and had a great breakfast. Nice local diner feel.

It was ok. I was very impressed that the corned beef in the corned beef hash was real and didn't taste like the stuff you get in a can. My eggs were cooked perfectly and the jam tasted like homemade strawberry rhubarb. What I didn't care for was the grease that the eggs and potatoes were made in. There was too much and I didn't like the aftertaste. Also, the bread was barely toasted and the butter covered a very small portion of each triangle. I would consider coming again and trying something else, like French toast and bacon. :)

I like this place. I read some bad reviews so had to post mine. I love their fresh jam on toast, it's a must have! I like their Mexican themed omelettes like the fajita or taco one. My husband gets the chicken fried steak or biscuits and gravy and likes it. I laughed at the person who said they got tap water to save money and it was gross. That is true, the water is gross there. Stick to soda tea or coffee. Service is fine, not rude but not super friendly either. They are always busy on weekends so good luck getting a table since it's a very small restaurant! Overall I like this place.

I saw all these positive reviews on Yelp and wanted to give the place a try. What a disappointing experience. I ordered the breakfast special of chix fajita scramble with no onion - comes with a slice of toast and hash browns. First they put in extra onions so the flavor of onion was over powering, the fajita chicken was not seasoned like a fajita and was dry, some of the green peppers were not even warm, hash browns were crispy on one side and not even cooked on the back and they left a pool of grease on the plate. I had toast of which part was burnt and part not even toasted. My wife had a ham and cheese omelet and it was just greasy and both our hash browns were just bland and did not have much of any taste except for grease. Only bright spot was the nice server. The cook was not wearing any hair covering (hair net or hat) so not happy about that. Too bad it as just so bad; I was hoping to have a nice little local dinner to visit and this was such a poor experience I cant see me wanting to return.

The food is good, the breakfast is served all day, and the service is ok. The biggest problem is the hours. Currently they are only open until 3, doesn't make it convenient for dinner! They change the hours without notice and it's a pain. Call first!

The food is good. I've heard that the shakes are exceptional, though I haven't had one. The service was average.

I found myself really wanting to love Cahill Diner, as I try to support local business. I think they were having an "off" day, as the friend I was with is a regular and was disappointed as well. We were there for breakfast and I ordered a side of hashbrowns and a side of toast. My friend ordered their cheese omelet and added bacon, toast and hashbrowns. She also ordered a diet Coke that we received at the end of the meal because they were having problems changing it out. (They charged her full price for this even though it arrived when we had about two bites left - grr) The toast was not very toasty - more like warm bread with no change in color and the hashbrowns were also very light and not crispy at all. The omelet was good and my friend had the same comments about her toast and hashbrowns. Our server delivered our food and bill at the same time, which is a pet peeve of mine Overall, it was a meh experience.

The Cahill Diner is a pretty good place to grab some food. I usually end up stopping by on Saturday afternoon's or Sunday mornings. They have a great selection and even do orders to go! I always end up getting something from their breakfast menu (it's never a bad time for an omelet or waffles) but all of their food is decent-sometimes a little greasy, but its diner food! That's what you pay for! They also have a few spots to sit out side and eat if you like!

This is a bit of a strange place in that it is located in a strip mall, but once you walk in it definitely has that diner feel to it. The food was good, nothing great, but its diner food. Good portions and good prices, pretty small place so if it got busy there would be limited seating.

Would have gotten 4 stars, but sometimes the kitchen is ridiculously slow. And, those 4 stars would have been for their breakfast only. They have great breakfast, especially the benedict. The Lunch and dinner menu does not look that appetizing, so I decided not to ruin my breakfast joint by trying it.

Their breakfast must be better than their dinner, thats for sure. I had gone there on a Friday for the fish fry. I was expecting a VFW style affair, but it was set up buffet style. The fish had gone cold, the salads left much to be desired and everything I touched seemed to be sticky for some reason. Normally, that kind of service would fetch one star, but I had a previous experience that was just fine. Plus, they have wifi access. I may return to try the breakfast that everyone seems to be clamoring about, but will not be back for dinner.

Today I went here for the first time---it will also be my last. The service was okay. I ordered biscuits and gravy because you can order breakfast all day. It was right around 8.00 with tax at the end. The biscuits were heated up in a microwave obviously as they had that soggy texture and the gravy was just straight up weird---I pushed the mystery meat to the side and just had the bread and white sauce. I think the meat may have been some type of chorizo which is not okay with me and had it been advertised that way I would have avoided this menu option. It was a weird color not brown like sausage but more pink. The dish was salty.

Went for lunch. Cup o soup n half sandwich 7.75 sans drink. Soup was tomato basil and I did not finish...very chunky and not a chunky tomato soup guy. They had apple pie; it was okay, but not superb. If I could it would have been 2.5 stars. Waitress was nice...portions small ...

Went to the Cahill Diner this morning. I had a 6 dollars off coupon. The place was ok. The water was terrible, I tried to save money on not buying a beverage. The food was pretty good. I had the Cahill special, the pancakes were really small . but everything else was good. My wife had an omelet and she loved it..the service was great and I would recommend it to my friends. .I can't wait to try lunch. .

Met a friend here for breakfast, I ordered the Tex-Mex (which is a breakfast burrito with eggs, hashbrowns and sausage in it, covered with cheese and salsa & served with a side of sour cream). It was HUGE! but yummy. I loved it. I ate half of it and brought the other half home to my husband who scarfed down the rest of it. Service here was good. It's a cozy little place. Wish this diner was a little closer to home, I'd go there often. I'm sure I'll get there again though when I'm out in IGH.
